Summer Students 2022 – Job Opportunity

Ottawa Tamil Seniors Association (OTSA) is pleased to announce that with the assistance of Employment and Social Development Canada, Canada Summer Jobs, we will be hiring Students for the summer months during the period of May 2022 – August 2023. 

Please note that we encourage applications from students with disability.

Position Titles:

1. Administrative Assistant (Visible Minority)

2. Accounting Assistant (Visible Minority)

3. Building Maintenance (Visible Minority)

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

Position Duration: 8 consecutive weeks

Hours: 35 hours per week, Salary: $15.00 / hour

To be eligible to participate in Canada Summer Jobs, Individuals must: be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment, Have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year, Be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and, be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.

Priority will be given to the candidates who know Tamil as a second language and have experienced in dealing with seniors.

Application must be received no later than Monday, April 29, 2022.

Position Status: 6 (8 consecutive weeks)

Hours: 35 hours per week, Salary: $14.00 / hour

To be eligible to participate in Canada Summer Jobs, Individuals must: be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment, Have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year, Be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and, be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
